Group Sessions

Group sessions for teams is a great way to learn about a strengths-based approach while also growing together. The team gets to process different activities and also learn about each other in a unique setting.

We start with a 1:1 for the team leader, a way to get more information regarding the make up of the team and some of the issues plaguing them. Next, would be 1:1’s with the team to go over their own reports so they have an idea of how to work through the day. Then we finish up with the team session.

The team session itself is broken up into at least 2 sections, team building and problem solving. In the team building session, we focus on getting to know each person’s strengths and how they interact with each other. This portion of the session really helps emphasize how each person sees and interacts with the world. We also focus on the paradigm in which each person functions at work and what drives them to be successful.

The second half of the session is for problem solving. We dive deep into the groups productivity and how we can increase it using each others strengths. Sometimes this is about how best to go about funding or grant writing. Other times, it’s because the team is new and the “problems” are geared towards knowing the team will be working intimately together and need to face-track trust between folks.
